Adam Davis Provides Insight on Limitation Action in KPLC Report

Shout out to our own Adam Davis, who spoke with KPLC 7News about the federal limitation action Callan Marine filed over the 2025 Cameron Parish dredging spill, causing damages to oystermen and fisherman. Adam explained how the Limitation of Liability Act, passed in 1851, lets a vessel owner ask a federal court to cap its liability. He also explained what he calls its most powerful effect: a stay that freezes every other related lawsuit and pulls the claims into one proceeding.
